It allows to manage the interface with external systems that do not use the KNX protocol and it also enables the Ethernet gateway:

• Gateway from and to Modbus-RTU (serial or TCP/IP)
• Device with Modbus-RTU communication protocols (thermal power station, special plants, electrical meters) such as FCC-PLANTEC, RDZ, Menerga
• Sanyo cooling system
• Mitsubishi cooling system
